Wales Hosts The Ashes

‘The npower ashes are one of the smallest prizes in world sport, yet they have a massive meaning.’

This is a quote that caught my eye at the excellent ashes exhibition at the Old Library in Cardiff. It struck me that due to this difference of size between the event and the catalyst of the event, peoples perceptions of the urn would be quite interesting. I decided to try a quick experiment to see how big people percieve the Urn to be by asking them to draw it. Below are two drawings one done by the guard at the museum, who was stood infront of a replica urn and one by the owner of a sandwich shop, who was pretty sure he knew how big the urn was. Both being so aware that it was small drew it 2cm smaller than it actually is.
